With Malachi and Inca foraging.
While my sister Mary was in the hospital this afternoon I thought I would paint her something very dear to her heart. No, not the orchard where she slipped on the wet grass and broke her right leg in three places, but the top fields where Malachi and Inca love to forage. It’s a winter scene taken from a collection of photographs I took whilst doing a bit of farm-sitting myself.
Now the daylight has nearly disappeared so I shall have to wait until tomorrow to put in the final strokes, although I intend to keep it lively and loose. Not too bad for an afternoon of fun with the oils.

Thanks Diana – it’s good to be home… apart from the weather!!!! Mary is going to hospital again today to seek help for the pain but when she’s home visitors are most welcome. x
